Inspiring Scientists To Be Social Justice Advocates

This workshop will feature case studies from science advocates sharing recommendations for how to get started and sustain engagement in the current political landscape. Speakers will talk about the skills they’ve developed and how those have applied to their personal development and career paths. Speakers will discuss how centering justice and equity in their efforts strengthens their work. The workshop will feature an interactive game about advocacy tactics, plus a brainstorming session to co-create a list of organizations and opportunities to get involved in. The audience will leave with a list of resources and action items to continue to grow their skills in advocacy and social justice.

Learn about upcoming Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards in reducing global warming emissions and how to advocate for a clean transportation future.
